What I do and why I do it:

I network… that pretty much sums it up. Oh, and at times act a little goofy but my sincerity comes out when I create opportunities for others to be successful.

Many years ago, one of my mentors told me “you don’t need to know everything, but you do need to know where to find everything.” That pretty much sums up life.

I believe everyone has potential to be better than who they are and this drives my support of others because when others are successful we all benefit.

The Story of iBRAG

I am always asked “why ‘iBRAG’ and what does it mean”? So here it is… the acronym stands for:

Independent Business Restaurant and Arts Group

In the early 2000's my wife and I with a few great friends took ownership of a wonderful little restaurant in Fremont... which closed a few short years later. This was a huge bummer, downer, drag, disappointment, failure, whatever you call it the closure was “not optimal for business success” to say the least.

During the ownership, it was observed that performing arts groups and restaurant owners have one thing in common - getting people through the front door. Thus, the idea of iBRAG was born! The initial push to support small business was a project called Fine Arts and Eats. This was a fairly successful project marketing and sharing news about local eateries and performing arts productions and events until the big shut down… the pandemic which shall not be named.

Sadly, we lost far too many small businesses and performing arts groups. Many are still struggling to survive. This makes what I do all the more important - creating a supportive COMMUNITY to raise SYNERGY that will bring SUCCESS!
